Sherman Finnemore of Uppingham Stone called us because his existing forklift was struggling to start and even when it did, operating it was very difficult with the engine cutting out and the brakes not very efficient – he was quite concerned that without a reliable forklift truck his business would suffer. Craig Tustin, our Sales Manager visited Uppingham Stone the same day and came up with a plan. We sent in a short term rental truck to cover the work needed and set about finding a forklift ideally suited to the site – with a quite specific specification required. We identified a machine within the rental fleet and took it for a few days’ trial. It was an almost perfect fit, but having been spoilt with the inclusion of a weather cab on the rental truck, the same requirement was now on the replacement! A deal was done and just a few short weeks later, Uppingham Stone are in receipt of a refurbished Hyundai 2.5 ton, diesel powered forklift complete with full free lift mast and protection from the elements…..
