If NDLT were any more reliable, I’d start asking them to babysit my kids. We’ve used them for years to look after our MHE and cleaning machines. We’ve bought machines from them, we hire kit from them, and they service it all without fuss and not once have they disappeared, bodged a job, or blamed “supply chain issues” while vanishing into the mist. Honestly, it’s suspicious.

Bobby and Dave the identical twin tornadoes of on-site service are usually first to land. Covered in grease, tools flying, job done before you’ve finished saying “It’s making a weird noise.” One of them might be Bobby, the other might be Dave, or maybe they switch just to mess with us. Either way, you know stuff’s getting sorted when those two show up.

But it’s not just the “Bobby & Dave Show” — the whole service team is class. Every one of them turns up ready to get stuck in, no moaning, no van naps, just proper graft. It’s honestly unnerving how reliable they all are. I’ve worked with enough engineers to know this is not normal.

And then there’s Ian the smart one who somehow keeps this circus running. Salesman, part-time negotiator, full-time smooth talker. Somehow always “just in the area” when a deal’s on the line. If he ever tries to sell you something, just accept it, it’s happening either way.

And then there’s Craig. Ah, Craig. The man, the myth, the walking Health & Safety violation. He somehow sells kit like he’s just wandered into the job by accident like he meant to deliver a sandwich but left with a forklift order. He’s got the charm of a dodgy car dealer, the negotiation skills of your nan at a car boot sale, and yet… against all odds… he’s brilliant at what he does.

You’ll ring up for a basic quote and end up with three machines, a service plan, and a story about “this one time in a bar in Ireland.” He’ll give you advice with the confidence of a man who’s clearly making it up and then the gear arrives, bang on, like he’s some sort of forklift whisperer. No spreadsheets, no notes, no logic. Just pure, chaotic Craig energy.

Honestly, we’re not even sure he works there. He might just be a really helpful bloke who wandered in years ago and never left but no one’s had the heart to stop him.

And that, ladies and gents, is why Craig is… somehow… a national treasure. A confusing, slightly suspicious, deeply effective legend.

Bottom line: NDLT are the only people we trust to keep our kit running. Top lads, proper company, and a rare breed these days…..They still care.
